people, props, party.

Last week we had our Christmas party with clients at our offices. We made sure all the party essentials were in place - a caterer who makes faaabulous food, a portable bar with an infinite supply of alcohol, a photobooth, as well as a take-home rescue kit to nurse a hangover the next day.

Between my work friends and I, we had loads of fun... with only a few fatalities. :)

This photo is of Sam, Megan and I messing around in the photobooth. I've only been working at Wisdom & Youth for 3 months now but these girlies have already become great friends of mine. I don't think I could ask for a better team to work with :)

gemma correll

Gemma's illustrations always put a smile on my face. See more of her work over here.

(I hope this image doesn't offend anyone.)

Anyway! Almost every year when I get time off from work over Christmas, my family and I spend a couple of days at our beach cottage, which is by a fairly secluded beach on the South Coast. Since I was young I've always collected shells off that beach. We are really lucky to have such beautiful beaches in South Africa, with beautiful shells. It's all about where you look! I remember finding such gems in Jongensfontein, a small coastal town near Stilbaai (+- 4 hours out of Cape Town).

I saw this shell necklace on ilovewildfox. I love it! And it looks simple enough for a DIY project for the summer holidays. Naaice.
